Our shop is number four in Tyagi Market, which is pretty easy to spot because we are right near the Hanuman Mandir in Nandgram. It’s a small space, so we have to stack things pretty high to fit everything in. We mostly carry clothes for kids and some things for men and women too. It’s usually just me and one other guy working here. We spend a lot of time just unpacking boxes and hanging things up. The market gets a lot of foot traffic from people going to the temple, so we see a lot of different faces every day. It's nothing special to look at from the outside, just a standard shop with a glass front and some racks. Sometimes the lighting is a bit dim in the back corner but we manage. People come in looking for school uniforms or maybe something new for a festival. We don't really do big advertising or anything. Mostly it’s just people walking by who see something they like in the window. The shelves are often a bit messy because customers like to touch the fabrics and see the sizes, and we don't always get to folding them back perfectly right away. It’s a busy little corner of Nandgram. We've been here for a few years and the neighbors in the market are good people. We usually have the radio playing quietly in the background while we work.
