Ritu Wears

New Kailash Nagar in Ghaziabad is a busy place, and our spot at 237-B is right in the thick of it. Ritu Wears has been sitting on this street for quite some time now. It’s not the kind of office you’d see in a magazine. It’s got older windows and a floor that’s seen a lot of footsteps over the years. We spend our mornings checking what came in the night before and our afternoons making sure everything is where it should be. The neighbors know us, and we know the tea stall guy around the corner. It feels like a real community here. We don't use much technology for the sake of it; if a pen and paper work better for a quick note, that’s what we use. The building gets a bit chilly in the winter and stays pretty warm in the summer, but we don't complain much. We just focus on the garments and the customers who have been coming to us for years. There’s no big corporate ladder here. Everyone just rolls up their sleeves and helps out where it’s needed, whether that’s answering the phone or hauling a bag of clothes across the room. It’s a bit messy sometimes, especially when a big shipment arrives, but we always manage to find what we’re looking for eventually. Ghaziabad is a tough city, and we’ve built a tough little business to match the vibe of the streets around us.
