Raj Hair Gents Beauty Parlour is located over in Dr Jahid Market, which is on N.T.P.C. Road in Massuri. Ghaziabad is a pretty loud place and this area is no exception with all the trucks and bikes moving through. We have a small space here where we take care of local guys who need a haircut or a clean shave before they head off to their jobs. The market stays active from morning until late at night. Inside the shop, we have a few mirrors and some old posters on the wall that have been there for years. The floor gets covered in hair pretty quickly, so I’m always grabbing the broom to keep it somewhat clean. We have a small television in the corner, but usually, people just want to talk about the cricket scores or the price of things at the market. It gets very hot during the summer months here in Massuri, so the ceiling fan is always clicking away overhead. Sometimes the water pressure isn't great, but we manage with what we have. Most of the people who come in are regulars who have been living in this part of Ghaziabad for their whole lives. We don't have fancy lights or big signs, just the name of the shop painted above the door. It is a straightforward place for men to come and spend twenty minutes getting cleaned up while the world goes by outside on the main road.
