Setting up shop on G T Road was a choice we made years ago. It’s always loud here because of the trucks and the buses going by constantly. You get used to the noise after a few weeks. Our place, Prince, is right on the main stretch. It's not a complicated setup. We just have our items laid out and we wait for whoever stops by. Being on such a big road means we see all kinds of people. Some are just passing through town and others live right around the corner. We spend a lot of time sweeping the front because of all the dirt that blows in from the traffic. It’s a bit of a battle, honestly. Inside, it's a bit quieter but you can still feel the heavy vehicles rumble the floor sometimes. We don't really do big advertisements or anything. People just see the name when they're stuck in traffic and they pop in. We keep things pretty straightforward. If we have what you need, great. If not, we tell you where else to look. The lights flickered a bit yesterday, so I spent the morning messing with the fuse box. That’s just part of running a shop here. We’ve got a small fan that barely keeps the heat away in July, but we manage. It's just a regular business on a busy road. Nothing more to it. There's a tea stall next door and the smell of ginger tea comes in every afternoon. It’s a good spot to be.
