Mahreen Fashion India Pvt. Ltd. is located at E-121 in Sector 11, Pratap Vihar. This is where all the clothes and fabric stuff happens every day. We have several sewing machines set up and there is usually a lot of thread and scraps of cloth on the floor by the end of the day. It is a noisy place when all the machines are running at once. We spend our time cutting fabric, stitching things together, and checking the seams. It is a lot of repetitive work, but we have a good rhythm going between us. The building isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but inside we are always moving and making things. We have big tables for laying out the patterns. Sometimes we get a big order and the whole place feels even smaller because of all the boxes piled up near the door. The windows let in some light, but we mostly rely on the overhead tubes to see what we are doing. We aren't a fancy boutique with a changing room or anything like that. We are more of a production spot for clothing. Most of our days are spent making sure the sizes are right and the colors match up like they should. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, especially when the irons are on for pressing the garments. We just do our best to get the work finished so it can be sent out.
