Palki Sarees Ghaziabad

Palki Sarees is located right near the temple at Dasna Gate in Ghaziabad. It’s a very local spot and it can get quite loud with the bells and the people passing by. We have a small storefront where we display a few of the newer sarees, but most of the stock is kept inside on the wooden shelves. We’ve been here for years and most of the people who shop with us are from the neighborhood or nearby villages. It’s a simple shop with some stools for customers to sit on while we unfold the sarees to show them the patterns and colors. We don't have air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that hum all day long. During the wedding season, the shop gets really packed and it can be hard to move around, but we manage. My brother helps out with the accounts while I handle the customers and the stock. We don't bother with fancy labels or expensive packaging; we just wrap things up in paper or plastic bags like we always have. It’s a regular shop for regular people who want something decent to wear for a function or a festival. The street outside is narrow, so parking is always a headache for anyone who drives here. Most people just walk or take a rickshaw to get to our door and see what is new.
