Out in the Sahibabad Industrial Area, things are always noisy and moving. We are at 40A/15-16 in Site-4. It’s a big industrial patch in Ghaziabad where you see trucks and workers everywhere. Our building is pretty plain on the outside, just like the others around it. Inside, it’s all about the machines. We work on intimates, which means a lot of small, careful work with different fabrics. The floor is usually covered in little scraps of thread and cloth. It’s not a quiet office job; it’s a factory environment where there’s always a hum in the background. We spend a lot of time making sure the machines are oiled and working right. The heat can get pretty intense during the summer months here in the industrial site, but we keep the big fans moving the air around. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and we know the tea stall guys and the other business owners nearby. It’s a community of people just trying to get through the production schedule. We don't have a marketing department or anything; we just have people who know how to sew and pack. Every day is about meeting the numbers and making sure the boxes are loaded onto the trucks by evening. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until late.
