Matharoo Engineering Works

Matharoo Engineering Works has been at A-6/27 in Ispat Nagar for a long time now. We are right on the south side of G T Road, which makes it easy for the trucks to come and go, even if the traffic gets a bit much in the evenings. My father started this place years ago with just a couple of machines and a lot of patience. Now, the shop floor is always noisy and covered in a bit of oil, but that's how engineering work goes. We don't have a fancy reception or anyone in a suit waiting to greet you. Usually, you’ll find one of us under a machine or talking to the workers about a specific part that needs fixing. People around here know us for just getting the job done without making a big fuss. It’s a dusty area, being in Ispat Nagar, and the heat in the summer can be something else, but we keep the fans going and stay busy. Most of our days are spent measuring things, cutting metal, and making sure the dimensions are right so nobody has to come back twice. It isn't a glamorous life, but it’s honest work that pays the bills. We've seen the road outside change quite a bit over the decades, though the work inside the shed stays pretty much the same. If you stop by, you’ll probably hear the grinders going before you even see the sign.
