Kapil Tyagi

I am Kapil Tyagi and my place is in Hapur. You can find me in the Tagasaray mohlla at number 714. It is an old part of town and the streets are quite narrow. If you are driving a car, it can be a real headache to get through when the rickshaws are parked on the side. I’ve lived and worked around here most of my life. My workspace is just a part of the building where I grew up. It’s got high ceilings and the walls need a new coat of paint, but it stays cool in the summer. I don’t have a website or anything like that. Most people just walk in or call me on my mobile. I usually have a glass of tea sitting on my table and a stack of papers that I need to go through. The neighbors are loud and you can always hear kids playing in the street outside. I like the energy of the neighborhood. It’s not a corporate office at all. It’s just me doing my thing. Some days I spend more time talking to people on the street than I do working. But that’s how relationships are built in a place like Hapur. You know people by their names and their families. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else because this is where I belong. It’s a bit messy and a bit loud, but it is real.
