A K Wood Works

The shop is tucked away here in Niraj Vihar, right in the Navneet Vihar area. Most days, you'll find me or one of the guys covered in sawdust because that’s just how it goes when you’re working with wood all day. A K Wood Works isn't a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s a real workshop where things actually get built. We have been in this spot for quite a while now. The noise from the saws is pretty much constant from morning until we close up for the evening. Sometimes the neighbors probably wish we were a bit quieter, but we try to keep it down when we can. We do a lot of different things, from fixing up a broken table leg to putting together some new cabinets when someone asks. It's dusty and the floor is never really clean no matter how much we sweep it at night. We use a lot of local materials and just try to get the jobs done right so people come back next time they need something made. There’s always a pile of scrap wood in the corner that we use for smaller bits. It’s just how we run things here. Nothing too complicated, just wood and tools and a lot of work. If you happen to be walking through Navneet Vihar, you’ll probably hear us before you see us. That’s just life at the shop.
