Jay Electricals

Jay Electricals is located right in the middle of Chaudhary Market in Model Town. We are at shop number 22. It is a small shop, mostly filled with tangled wires, bulbs, and various fuses. I have been working with electricity since I was just a teenager. It is really the only thing I know how to do well. People from all over Model Town come here when their lights go out or a wall switch breaks. Chaudhary Market is always very loud. There is always someone shouting or a motorbike revving nearby. We don’t mind the noise. It is just the sound of people working. I have one helper, a young lad from the next street over. We fix ceiling fans and small motors too. The back of the shop is a bit of a mess with old spare parts everywhere. I should probably organize it one day soon. But as long as I can find what I need to fix a fan, it is fine. We don’t do big industrial contracts for the city. Mostly it is just house calls and small over-the-counter sales. If your clothes iron stops working, you bring it to us. That is just how it goes here. We have seen the market change a lot over the years. New shops come and go every few months. We stay right here at 22. It is a steady life for us. Nothing to complain about really. We just keep the lights on for the neighbors. That is our job.
