Javed Alam Alvi

You can find me, Javed Alam Alvi, at F 68 in Bhagat Singh Market, which is right in the Connaught Place area of Delhi. This is a very famous part of the city, but my corner of it is quite practical and unpretentious. The market is always crowded with people looking for deals or grabbing a bite to eat. My office at F 68 is a small space that I have rented for quite a few years now. It is a bit noisy during the day because of all the people outside, but you get used to it after a while. I have a desk that is covered in papers and a phone that rings more often than I would like. The walls are covered with calendars and some old photos. It is a comfortable place for me to work even if it is not very modern. I do not use any fancy marketing language to describe what I do. I just tell people I am at F 68 and they can come by if they need something. Most of my work involves sitting and thinking or writing things down in my notebooks. I have a small tea stall just outside where I get my drinks during the day. It is a very normal, everyday kind of existence. I like being in the heart of Delhi because it feels alive and there is always something happening just outside my door.
