Jai Maa Ambe

We are a small business called Jai Maa Ambe, located over on Lodhi Road in the Nizamuddin area. This is a very old and famous part of the city, and we feel lucky to have a spot here. Our shop is quite small, but it’s always full of things. We see a lot of people walking by because Lodhi Road is always busy with tourists and locals alike. Nizamuddin has a special feel to it, and we try to fit into that rhythm. We don’t have a big corporate structure. It’s just a few of us running the place and making sure everything is in order. Most of our day is spent talking to people who stop in and helping them find what they need. We’ve been here for many years and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit, but the spirit of the place stays the same. Our shop isn't fancy, but it's ours. We open the doors in the morning and stay until late evening. It's a lot of standing and moving things around, but we don't mind the work. We just take things as they come and try to be helpful to the neighbors. It’s a simple life running a shop in such a historic area. Sometimes the rain makes things difficult on Lodhi Road, but we just clean up and keep going. We are part of the daily life here and we enjoy it.
