Gfm Saloon

Our shop, Gfm Saloon, takes up Shop Number 1 and 2 on Nehru Stadium Road. We are right in the Gandhi Nagar part of Ghaziabad, almost directly opposite the Sai Mandir. Being near the temple means we get a lot of foot traffic, especially on Thursdays when everyone comes to pray. It’s a convenient spot for men to stop in for a shave or a quick trim before they go about their day. I’ve got a couple of chairs set up and the mirrors are big so everyone can see what’s happening. The stadium road is usually pretty busy with people exercising or heading to the shops. I’ve been cutting hair for a long time now and I don’t need much more than my scissors and a steady hand. The shop is a place where guys sit around and talk about cricket or the local politics while they wait their turn. It’s a simple atmosphere without any of that loud music or fancy lights you see in the malls. We just do honest work for a fair price. My brother helps me manage the two shops since they are joined together. We keep the floor swept and the tools clean, and that’s about it. It’s a good living and I like being part of the Gandhi Nagar community. You can usually find me here every day except for maybe some holidays.
