We’re located at 97 Ambedkar Road in Ghaziabad, not far from the Kalka Ghari Chowk. Flora Fashion has been in this spot for several years now. It’s a busy part of the city, and the road outside is almost never quiet. There’s a lot of dust and noise from the traffic, so we spend a good portion of our morning just cleaning the glass and the racks to keep things looking decent. The shop isn’t anything too fancy. It’s just a place where we keep our stock and help people find what they’re looking for. We don’t have a big team of staff or any fancy computer systems. Most of our records are kept in a simple logbook. It’s a very hands-on way to work. Sometimes it gets quite crowded in here, especially in the evenings when people are heading home from work and stop in to look at things. We don’t do any big promotions or marketing. We just rely on people seeing us as they go past the chowk. We like being on Ambedkar Road because it’s so central. It’s hard work, and some days are better than others, but we enjoy the routine of it. We’ve gotten to know a lot of the local families over the years. It’s just a regular local business, and we’re happy to keep it that way without making things too complicated.
