Electrovision is situated in Nehru Nagar III-A /68. It is mostly a workshop for fixing things like televisions and other home gadgets. The space is filled with old circuit boards, soldering irons, and piles of wires that seem to grow every week. I have a long wooden workbench that has seen a lot of use over the years, with burn marks and scratches all over it. The shelves are packed with spare parts and tubes that I’ve collected, some of which I might never use but I keep them just in case. There is always a faint smell of hot metal and solder in the air. We don't have a big display area; it's mostly just the front counter where people drop off their broken sets. The lighting is a bit harsh because I need to see the tiny parts I’m working on. Sometimes a repair takes much longer than I thought, and the shop gets cluttered with half-finished jobs. I usually have a cup of tea sitting somewhere among the tools. It’s a quiet place for the most part, except for the sound of the radio or the buzz of a testing meter. People in Nehru Nagar know they can bring their old electronics here to see if there’s any life left in them. We don't use any big machines, just hand tools and a bit of patience to get things working again. It is a slow process, but that is how we spend our days here at the shop.
