Dyke Engineering Services

You can find us at Plot No. 604 in the GIDC area. We’ve had this spot for a long time, and our post box number is 37. It’s a typical industrial plot with a lot of heavy metal and tools lying around. We do engineering services, which mostly means we fix things or fabricate parts that people can’t find anywhere else. The workshop is always a bit of a mess with grease and metal shavings, but that’s just how it is when you’re actually working. We don’t have a secretary or a lobby for people to wait in. If you walk in, you’ll probably have to shout over the sound of a lathe or a grinder to get someone’s attention. We’re just a group of people who like working with our hands. We don’t follow any big corporate mission; we just take the jobs as they come and try to finish them without any mistakes. The GIDC is a busy place, and we’ve seen a lot of businesses come and go over the years. We’ve managed to stay because we keep things simple. We don't overcharge and we don't make promises we can't keep. It's a bit of a struggle sometimes when the machines break down and we have to spend all night fixing them, but we usually figure it out ourselves. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s steady work.
