Dharmvir Singh Tomar

My name is Dharmvir Singh Tomar and you’ll mostly find me over at the Hapur Bar Association. It’s a busy place with a lot of people moving around in black coats and carrying thick bundles of papers tied with string. My day is usually divided between the office space and the court areas. It’s not a quiet job. There is always the sound of people talking, typewriters clacking, or someone calling out a name. I’ve spent a lot of my life around these corridors. It’s a community of sorts here at the bar association. We share news, talk about the latest happenings, and drink a lot of tea from the stall nearby. The furniture is old and the books on the shelves have that specific dusty smell, but it feels right for the kind of work we do. I don't have a big marketing plan or anything. People usually find me through word of mouth or because they see me working here every single day. I try to keep things straightforward and help out where I can. The heat in Hapur can be tough in May, but we just keep the fans going and keep moving through the files. It’s a lot of reading and waiting, then sudden bursts of activity. That is just how the life here goes for me and the others. We all just want to get through the day's cases and head home.
