Dharmendra Singh

I am Dharmendra Singh and I run my business out of Manak Chowk in Nanpur, Hapur. This is a very busy area with lots of shops and people moving about all day long. I have been at this location for quite a while and have seen the market change many times. My shop is not very large, but it is right in the heart of the action at Manak Chowk. I grew up around here, so I know almost all the other shopkeepers on the block. We help each other out when we can. My day starts with opening the shutters and sweeping the front area. Then I just wait for customers to come in or work on orders I already have. I don't have any fancy marketing plans or a big sign with lights. People know me because I have been here so long and I try to do a decent job for a fair price. Nanpur is a hardworking neighborhood and I feel lucky to be a part of it. Sometimes the traffic at the chowk gets so bad that it’s hard to hear people talking, but you get used to it after a few weeks. I don't use computers much, I prefer writing things down in my ledger. It feels more real that way. If you are ever in Hapur, stop by and say hello. I'm usually there until late evening.
