Devender Kumar Sharma

Our office is situated at Raj Nagar 14, right inside the Ghaziabad District Court Compound. Devender Kumar Sharma has been working out of this spot for a long time. It’s a place where there is always something going on, mostly involving a lot of documents and people looking for help with their cases. The atmosphere is pretty intense because of where we are located. You hear the sounds of the court all day long. We have a few old wooden benches for people to sit on while they wait. The walls are lined with law books that have been there for years. It’s not a shiny, modern office. It’s a place where real work happens. We drink a lot of coffee to stay sharp through the long afternoons. Sometimes the paperwork piles up so high you can't see the person on the other side of the desk. We just take it one file at a time. Being in the court compound means we are always near the action. We know the other folks working in the nearby offices and we often share news over lunch. It’s a tight-knit community of workers. We don't use any fancy language to describe ourselves. We are just here to do our jobs and help the people who walk through our door at number 14. It’s a basic, functional space for busy days. Sometimes the printer jams, but we usually fix it with a quick tap. We keep a spare fan for the summer heat.
