Dev Dutt Sharma

You can find Dev Dutt Sharma over at the Ghaziabad District Court Compound in Raj Nagar, specifically at number 169. It is a very busy place, as you can imagine, with people running around with files and bundles of paper everywhere. Our office is tucked away in a corner of the compound. It is quite small and filled with bookshelves that go all the way to the ceiling. Most of the books are old and have that specific paper smell that you only find in court buildings. We have a couple of wooden chairs for visitors, but they are usually covered in newspapers or folders. The desk is huge and takes up most of the room. We spend a lot of time typing and talking to people who are in a hurry. The noise from the hallway is constant—lots of shouting and footsteps on the stone floors. We have a small fan that wobbles a bit when it's on high speed, but it keeps the air moving during the heat of the day. Raj Nagar is a good area, but the court compound is like its own little world. We have our routine here, starting with a quick sweep of the floor and a glass of water from the common tap. It is a lot of hard work and long hours, but we are used to the pace of the legal compound by now and just keep at it.
