The name might sound a bit funny, but we take the work seriously enough. We do the usual beauty parlour things, but we also spend time teaching others how to do it. The training part is important to us because we see a lot of people wanting to learn a trade. Being in Turab Nagar means it’s always busy outside. Lala Chat Wali Gali is one of those places where everyone seems to know everyone. Our shop isn't huge, but we make the most of the space we have. We’ve got mirrors and chairs and all the supplies tucked away where they need to be. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we have students and customers at the same time, but we manage. People come to us from all over Ghaziabad to learn or just to get their hair done. We don't go in for fancy talk or expensive decorations. It’s a working shop through and through. We’ve been here at 399 B for a while and we know the rhythms of the street. If the tea stall next door is busy, we usually are too. It’s just a local business trying to help people look better and maybe learn a new skill while they're at it. No more, no less.
