I’ve lived and worked around Hapur for most of my life. My place is over in Chijarsi, which is part of Panchshil Nagar if you are looking at the newer maps. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't from around here, but the locals know where the turn-off is. Most days I’m just busy with whatever comes through the door. It’s a lot of manual work and checking on things that need doing. The weather in this part of Uttar Pradesh is either too hot or too rainy, so we are always adjusting. My desk is covered in papers and old receipts that I really should organize one of these days. My neighbors are mostly into farming or small trades, so we talk a lot about the crops or the price of supplies. I don't have a big staff, usually just me and a cousin who helps out when it gets busy during the season. We don't have a website or any of those modern things. If someone needs me, they just come by or call the number they’ve had for years. The building isn't much to look at, just a sturdy spot to keep the rain out. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just sit outside on the stools until it comes back. It's a quiet way to get things done without too much fuss or noise from the big city.
