Bijendra Kumar Nayak

Patel Nagar West is where we spend our days. Our address is 41598, which is a bit of a high number to remember sometimes. Bijendra Kumar Nayak is the name on the door, though the sign is a bit faded now. The area is typical for this part of town, with lots of residential buildings and small businesses crammed together. It’s a lively place to be. You can hear the vegetable vendors shouting their prices in the morning and the sound of scooters zipping through the lanes. Our space inside 41598 isn't very big. We have a few desks and a lot of books and papers scattered around. It’s not the neatest place, but we know where everything is kept. The electricity can be a bit patchy during the peak of summer, so we have a small backup that keeps the fans going. It’s just a regular office for regular work. We don't have a big team or anything corporate like that. It’s just a few of us. We usually eat our lunch together at the main table. The light in the afternoon comes in quite strong through the front window, so we have some old curtains to block it out. It’s a very plain environment, but it serves its purpose. We’ve been in Patel Nagar West long enough to feel like part of the furniture. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily tasks as they come. It’s a simple, straightforward way of living and working.
