Bhopendra Kumar

I stay at 1260 Shakti Nagar in Hapur. This is where I run my daily operations. My name is Bhopendra Kumar and I’ve been around this neighborhood since I was a kid. The house number 1260 is well known to the local postman because I get a lot of mail for the business. It’s not a huge setup. I have a room dedicated to my work with a desk and some filing cabinets. Most of my day is spent coordinating things over the phone or meeting people who stop by the house. Hapur is a good place for this kind of work because everyone knows everyone. You can’t really hide if you do a bad job, so I try to be as straight as I can with people. The walls in my office could use a fresh coat of paint, but I haven't had the time to move all the papers. I like the routine of waking up, having my breakfast, and then just walking across the hall to start my workday. There’s no commute and no boss. Sometimes the kids from the street play cricket right outside my window and it gets a bit loud, but it keeps things lively. I plan to stay here at Shakti Nagar for the long haul. It’s home and it’s where my livelihood is. I don't need much more than that. If someone needs me, they just knock on the gate and we talk.
