Tara Minerals & Chemical

Tara Minerals & Chemical is situated out on the Delhi Saharanpur Road in Village Dundahera, near Khekra in Baghpat. It’s a dusty kind of place because of all the minerals we handle every day. You can see the trucks lined up outside on the road waiting to get loaded or unloaded. The floor of the warehouse is usually covered in a fine powder, and you can definitely tell what we do by looking at our shoes at the end of the day. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here, but being near the main road helps with moving the heavy bags of chemicals. We spend a lot of time checking the weights of the sacks and making sure everything is labeled right before it goes out. The air smells a bit like earth and chemicals, which you get used to pretty fast. We don't have a big fancy office; it’s mostly just a desk tucked into a corner where we keep the logbooks. It’s a lot of physical work and the sun can be really strong out here in the open parts of Ghaziabad. We just focus on getting the orders filled and sent off to the factories or wherever they’re needed. It’s a simple operation, mostly just a few of us and the drivers who come through. Village life is a bit slower, but the work here at the site never really stops once the morning shift starts up.
