Ashwani Tyagi

The shop is located at Paschim Vihar Wz 15 A, right in the Jwala Heri Market area. If you know the market, you know it’s always crowded and loud. Ashwani Tyagi is tucked in there among all the other shops. I spend most of my time managing the daily stuff that comes up. It’s a lot of face-to-face interaction with folks walking in from the street. The space is a bit cramped because we have so much stuff packed in, but we know where everything is. Usually, the morning starts with sweeping the front and getting things ready for the day. Jwala Heri Market has its own rhythm, and you just get used to the noise of the traffic and people shouting. I’ve been here long enough that I know most of the other shopkeepers around us. We share tea sometimes when it’s quiet. My desk is usually covered in notes and little scraps of paper with reminders on them. It’s not the most modern setup, but it works for what we do. We don't have a big corporate team, just us handling things as they come. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just sit outside until it comes back on. It’s just the reality of running a small place in a busy market. We do what we can and try to keep things moving. There is always something that needs to be sorted out.
