Antika Prakashan

Our office is tucked away in Shalimar Garden, specifically at Office No C 56 on the upper ground floor of Extension 2. It is a bit of a maze back here if you aren't used to the layout of the building. Antika Prakashan is where we spend most of our time dealing with manuscripts, proofs, and stacks of paper. It is a quiet place for the most part, which is good because reading and editing require a lot of focus. We deal with various authors and printing tasks every day. The shelves are mostly overflowing with books and samples from past projects. We aren't a massive publishing house with hundreds of employees. Instead, it is just a handful of us making sure the text looks right before it goes to the printer. Sometimes the coffee machine is the most important piece of equipment we have. The space is a bit cramped because of all the files, but we know where everything is. We have been at this address for a while now and have seen the neighborhood grow around us. People sometimes walk in looking for a specific title or asking how to get something printed. We just explain the process simply and see if we can help them out. It is honest work and we enjoy the smell of fresh ink and paper. We don't have a big marketing department, we just focus on getting the books ready for the readers.
