We are tucked away in the Ghaziabad District Court Compound at number 86, right in the heart of Raj Nagar. Working here means you get used to the constant hum of people talking and the sound of old printers going off. It is not the kind of place that looks like a fancy office you would see on a screen. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint and the files are stacked pretty high on every available surface. Most of our mornings are spent just sorting through the paperwork that comes in and waiting for our turn in the various halls. There is a small tea stall just a short walk away where we usually get our fix twice a day, and that is where most of the real gossip happens anyway. The furniture is old wood that has been around longer than most of the staff. We do not have a big reception area or anyone to greet you at the door with a smile. You just walk in and find us sitting among the folders. It is a busy, often dusty environment, but it is how we have operated for years. Some days the heat in the compound is quite a bit to handle, especially when the power cuts out and the ceiling fans stop spinning. We just keep our heads down and try to finish the work before the sun goes down. It is a very normal way of working here.
