Amity Institute Of Biotechnology

You can find us in the J-3 Block over at the Amity University campus in Sector 125. It’s a huge campus, so it takes a bit of walking to get to our building. Inside, it’s mostly the smell of chemicals and the hum of refrigerators keeping samples cold. We spend a lot of our time looking into microscopes or waiting for some experiment to finish. It’s not like the movies where things happen fast; biotechnology is mostly about waiting and checking things over and over. The students are always around, some looking tired after long hours in the lab. We have our desks pushed together in the offices, and there’s always someone making a cup of coffee. It gets pretty crowded during the semester when everyone is trying to finish their projects. We don’t really bother with big corporate speeches. We’re just a group of people interested in how things work at a tiny level. Sometimes the equipment acts up, and we have to call the technician and wait for a few days. The windows look out over the rest of the campus, which is nice when you need a break from the screens. We just keep our heads down and do the research that needs doing. It’s a lot of reading and a lot of note-taking. That’s just the daily routine for us here in J-3 Block. We usually finish up late.
