Amit Kumar

Being over here in Hapur Adrash Nagar is a bit different from the big city rush of Delhi. My name is Amit Kumar, and I have set up my work here because it is where I feel most comfortable. The neighborhood has a way of staying familiar even as things change around us. You see the same neighbors every morning, and we all know each other’s routines by heart. My place is not anything special to look at from the outside, just a door and a window on a regular street, but inside, I keep everything organized the way I like it. I spend most of my hours here, dealing with whatever tasks come across my desk. Some days it is very quiet, and I can hear the birds or the distant sound of a tractor passing by. Other days, the street gets busy with kids playing or people heading to the local market for their groceries. I do not see the point in using big, complicated words to describe what goes on here. I just provide what people need and try to be fair about how I do it. I have been working under this name for years, and Hapur has always been a good place for me to stay. It is a simple life, really. I open up early, check my lists, and stay until the work is finished. There is no big corporate office, just me and this space.
