You can find Ajai Maheshwari over in Bhagwan Ganj Mandi, which is part of Modi Nagar. Being in a Mandi means it's usually loud and full of activity from very early in the morning. There are always trucks coming in and people moving goods around. Our place is right in the middle of all that chaos. We don't have a quiet office with carpets; it's more of a practical space where we can keep track of everything going on in the market. It’s a lot of talking to people and checking on deliveries. We’ve been in Modi Nagar for a long time and we’re used to the pace of life here. It isn't always easy, and the dust from the Mandi gets everywhere, but it’s where we belong. We don't use fancy words to talk about our business. We just do our work and try to be fair with everyone we deal with. Bhagwan Ganj is a busy spot and you have to keep your eyes open. We spend our days making sure the numbers match and the orders are right. It’s a very traditional way of doing things, really. We don't have a website with big photos or anything. Most people just know us from being here every day. If you come down to the Mandi, you'll see us there among the other shops and warehouses. It’s just regular life for us, keeping the business going one day at a time. The tea here is strong and the days are usually very long.
