Aggarwal Hardware Store

We are located right by the Ghanta Ghar on GT Road. Being near the clock tower means we hear it chime all day long while we work. This shop has been here for a long time, and we carry all the basic things like hammers, nails, paints, and door handles. It’s a dusty place because the road outside is always busy with traffic and people heading toward the market. The shelves go all the way up to the ceiling, and we have to use a tall wooden ladder to reach the stuff at the top. We know most of the guys who do repair work around this part of town. They come in for a tin of paint or some brushes and we usually chat for a minute before they head off. It isn't a fancy place with air conditioning or a glass front. It’s just a solid hardware store where the floor is a bit uneven and the counters are worn down from years of use. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the traffic go by on GT Road. Other days, we can barely keep up with people asking for pipes or electrical tape. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just keep the shop stocked and help out the people who walk through the door. It’s a simple life here near the Ghanta Ghar, and we like the routine of opening up each morning.
