The New Koyla Kitchen

Our place, The New Koyla Kitchen, is tucked away at 162 A on the Main Road in Sector 110. If you find the Dominos in Sector 110, we are right behind it. Noida is a fast-moving city, but our little corner feels a bit more grounded. We opened up here because we wanted to do something for ourselves. It’s a lot different than working a regular desk job, that’s for sure. My hands are usually covered in flour or spices for most of the day. The 201304 area has changed a lot since we first arrived. More buildings are going up all the time. We mostly get people stopping by after work or families on the weekends. It’s nothing too fancy. We have some wooden tables and chairs that we bought second-hand. They’re sturdy enough. We don't spend money on fancy decorations because we’d rather put that into the ingredients we buy. Sometimes the power goes out, which is common around here, and we have to scramble to keep things running. We don't have a big marketing plan. We just open the doors and see who comes in. It’s a simple way to live. We’ve made some good friends with the regulars who live in the apartments nearby. It feels like we belong here now. We just take it one day at a time without overthinking it.
