S.A.M Overseas

You’ll find S.A.M Overseas over in Phase-II of Sector-83. Our address is B-83, which is easy enough to remember. This is an industrial area, so it is all warehouses and big gates. It’s not a place for window shopping. We have a large shed where we keep everything ready for shipping. Most of the day is spent checking manifests and making sure the containers are loaded properly. It gets pretty loud with the forklifts and the trucks coming in and out. The office is just a small partitioned area with a couple of desks and a lot of filing cabinets. We don’t have air conditioning in the main area, so it stays pretty warm during the day. It is a lot of paperwork because of the overseas stuff, and sometimes the regulations change and we have to scramble to fix things. We aren’t a huge corporation; it is just a small group of us making sure the logistics work out. The commute out to Sector-83 can be a pain with the traffic, but once we are here, there is always plenty to do. We don't do anything flashy or polished. We just handle the goods and make sure the labels are stuck on right. It is a practical business. We’ve been here for several years now and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the industrial park. It is just work that needs to be done every day.
