Raj Dhaba

We are located on Crossing Road in Noida, specifically in Village Saveri, which is the 201305 area. This is a real roadside dhaba, not one of those fancy places you see in the city center. It is situated right where the local traffic passes through the village area. The setting is very basic, with simple seating and a lot of open air for the customers. We get a lot of truck drivers and people working in the nearby fields or construction sites. The road outside can get very dusty, especially when the wind picks up, so we are always dusting off the benches and the tables. It is the kind of place where you can hear the birds in the morning before the trucks start rumbling by. We don't have a big menu or anything printed on glossy paper. We just tell people what we have cooked for the day and they take it. The kitchen is simple, with big burners and a lot of heavy iron pans that have seen many years of use. Working here means being ready for the rush at meal times and then having long stretches of quiet in between. It is a family effort to keep the place running every day. We don't have fancy lights, just enough to see what we are doing when the sun goes down and the village gets dark. It’s just Raj Dhaba.
