Pappu Brijwasi Dhaba

If you know where Labour Chowk is in Sector 62, then you know where we are. We sit right near the model shop in Khora Colony, which means there is always someone standing around or walking by. It’s a dusty part of Noida, and things can get pretty loud with all the trucks and bikes zooming past. Our dhaba is a simple setup. We have the big pots going all day and the benches stay pretty full when the workers get off their shifts. We don't have a menu that changes every week. We just make the same stuff because that is what people around here expect. Sometimes the electricity goes off for an hour and we have to work by candlelight or just wait it out, but that’s normal life for us. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy cooking to worry about that right now. We get our supplies delivered every morning and start the fires early. It's hot work, and by the end of the day, we are all pretty tired. But then we wake up and do it all over again the next morning. There isn't much to say other than we are just a local dhaba trying to keep things going in a busy area. The radio usually plays in the background but nobody really listens to it. It’s just part of the background noise of the colony and we don't mind.
