Olive Garden Restaurant & Banquet Hall

We are situated at 52 Khanna Market, which is near the Delhi GPO area. Having both a restaurant and a banquet hall means there is never a dull day for us. One side of the business is about the daily walk-in customers, while the other side is all about managing events and gatherings. It gets quite hectic when we have a party going on in the hall and the restaurant is full at the same time. The market area is always crowded and finding parking can be a real problem for our guests. We’ve been in this building for some time. It’s an older structure, so it has its quirks, like pipes that leak or lights that flicker occasionally. We do our best to stay on top of the maintenance. The staff works hard, though we have our share of disagreements during the busy shifts. I usually spend my time coordinating between the kitchen and the event bookings. It’s a lot of phone calls and paperwork. We don’t try to be anything we aren't. It’s just a straightforward place to eat or host a small function. The Delhi heat can be tough in the summer months, especially with the ovens running. We just keep the fans going and get on with it. Every day is a bit different depending on who walks in. It’s a tiring business but it keeps us on our toes and pays the bills.
