Our little spot is at 818 Turab Nagar. It’s a crowded area and things get pretty loud during the peak hours of the market. We’ve been operating out of this single room for a bit. It’s not much to look at, just a few chairs and a table where we keep the ledger. Most days we are just keeping an eye on the local shops and seeing what’s available for rent or sale in the narrow lanes around us. The traffic outside can be a real headache, especially in the evenings when everyone is out shopping. We usually have the door open to catch a breeze, even if it brings in some dust. We don’t have a big staff or anything, just a couple of us who know the local landlords. If you come by, you might have to wait a minute while we finish a phone call or dig out a folder from the cabinet. It’s a straightforward way of working. We talk to people, we show them what we have, and we try to keep the paperwork from getting too messy. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until late. Sometimes we just sit out front and chat with the neighbors about how the prices are changing. There’s always something happening in Turab Nagar, so there is never a dull moment at the office. We just stay focused on what’s right in front of us every day.
