Hariom Metallics

You can find us over at Ring Road No.2 in Birgoan. We are right by Bhanpuri Chowk, just behind the Golden Market area. It’s a heavy industrial zone, so there are a lot of trucks and big machines moving around all day. Our place handles different kinds of metal. It’s noisy and there is always something being loaded or unloaded. The yard is usually full of materials. Sometimes it gets a bit messy when we have a big delivery, but we clean it up when we can. Being behind the market means it’s a bit quieter than being right on the main road, but not by much. We start early because the heat gets bad in the afternoons. It’s just a group of us working here. We wear boots and gloves because the metal can be sharp. There isn’t a fancy lobby or anything like that. Just an office with a couple of chairs and a lot of ledgers. People come here when they need specific metal parts or scrap. We just weigh things out and get the receipts done. It’s straightforward. Most of our neighbors are doing similar work. We’ve been at this spot for a while and know the regulars who pass through the chowk. It’s a busy life, but it suits us. Sometimes we have to wait for the trucks to clear the entrance before we can go home.
