Saubhachi International Public School

Saubhachi International Public School, or Sips as some people call it, is in Berhampur. We are located in VIP Colony, right in front of the Tahasil Office in Komapalli. It is a very easy spot to find if you are in the Baidyanathpur area. The school building has a distinct look, and being near the government office means there is always a lot of activity around us. We have a few trees in the courtyard that provide some shade during the hot Odisha afternoons. The classrooms are basic with desks arranged in rows. We have a small area for the younger children to play, and they usually make quite a lot of noise during their recess. The staff here consists of local people who have lived in Berhampur for a long time. We don't have any complicated systems for how we run things. The bell rings, the classes start, and we follow the schedule. The office is usually busy with parents coming in to pay fees or ask about the holiday list. We keep a register for visitors at the main entrance. During the festivals, we might put up a few decorations, but otherwise, the walls are just plain. It is a practical environment where the focus is on getting through the books. The humidity can be tough, so we keep the windows open to let the air circulate as much as possible through the building. It’s just how we do things here.
