Maya Granites

You can find us on Desibehera Street, right in the Bada Bazar area of Brahmapur. Bada Bazar is always packed with people, especially in the mornings when everyone is out doing their shopping. Maya Granites is tucked away on one of the side streets. It’s a narrow road, so it’s better if you’re on a bike or walking. Bringing a big truck in here is always a challenge, but we manage somehow. We’ve been in this part of town for years. The building is old and has seen better days, but it’s home to us. We handle granite slabs and pieces for all sorts of local projects. It’s a lot of manual labor. My hands are always rough from handling the stone. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights. We just have our stock piled up and a small space to sit and talk. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to complain about the noise or the dust, but we’re all friends at the end of the day. It’s a tight-knit community in Bada Bazar. We don’t do any big advertising. Word of mouth is how most people find us. We just keep the doors open and see who comes by. It’s a simple way to do business, and it works for us. That is the way we like it. Most of the time it is just business as usual.
