Lingaraj Granites

We are located at Plot No. 8/A in the Chandaka Industrial Estate, right on Infosys Road in the Patia area of Bhubaneshwar. It is a busy industrial zone, so there are always big trucks and workers moving about during the day. Lingaraj Granites is where we spend our time cutting and moving heavy slabs of stone. The loud sound of the saws is something you just get used to after a while. It is not a quiet place, and it is certainly not a clean one with all the stone dust flying around, but it is where the real work gets done. We have different kinds of granite stacked up in the yard. Some of it comes from far away, and some is more local. People come from all over the city to look at the slabs because you really have to see the grain and the color in person. Photos do not really do justice to the stone. We do not have a fancy showroom with bright lights and mirrors. You just walk through the rows of stone and see what catches your eye. Moving these slabs requires a lot of care and some heavy machinery to avoid any cracks. My boots are usually grey by the end of the shift. We have been in this part of Bhubaneshwar for a good while now, watching the big tech companies grow up around us. It is a bit of a contrast between the offices and our dusty yard.
