Audit Firm

Our firm is located on Second Gouda Street in Berhampur. It is a very busy street in Ganjam, and it can get quite loud with all the rickshaws and people moving about outside. We have been operating from this spot in Orissa for quite some time now. The building is older, but it stays cool enough with the ceiling fans going throughout the day. We mostly do audits for local businesses around here. It is a lot of checking receipts and making sure everything matches the bank statements. My father started things here, and now I handle a lot of the daily work along with a couple of assistants. We have shelves full of old binders that we keep just in case someone needs to look back at something from five years ago. It is not a high-tech office. We have a couple of computers, but we still use a lot of pens and paper ledgers. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just open the windows and keep working by the natural light. We are not trying to be the biggest firm in India. We just want to be the one that people in Berhampur can trust to look at their books honestly. If you come by the office, you will probably find us hunched over a desk with a calculator. That is just how we do things here. No fuss, just the work. (253 words)
