Adventure Zone Sikkim

You can find us right by the Banjhakri Waterfall Park gate in Gangtok. You have to go across the iron bridge on Ranka Road to get to Adventure Zone Sikkim. It’s a beautiful spot, though the rain in Sikkim can make things a bit damp and muddy sometimes. We spend most of our time outdoors, which is why we started this in the first place. We handle a lot of the gear and the routes for people coming through. It's not a desk job. Most days involve checking ropes, looking at the weather, and talking to people who want to see a bit more of the hills. The iron bridge is a good landmark because people get lost easily around here. We’re a small crew, mostly locals who grew up in these mountains. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just help people get outside. Some mornings are cold, and we’re huddled around tea before the first group shows up. It’s a lot of physical work, keeping the site clean and making sure everything is ready for use. We like the sound of the waterfall nearby; it beats hearing city traffic. We’ve had some long days when the tourist season is at its peak, but we wouldn't trade it for an office in a big city. It’s just us, the park, and the road to Ranka.
