Ume Fabrication & Steel Traders

Ume Fabrication & Steel Traders is located over in Sarkhej, inside the Bhagya Khever Society. We actually have three shops here, numbers 2, 3, and 4, all in the Fatewadi Tower. It’s a busy little area, and we’re right near Tavakkal Pan Parlour, so there’s always people hanging around or grabbing a tea. Our shops are usually full of the sound of metal hitting metal. We deal with all kinds of steel fabrication, so the floor is often covered in small scraps and iron dust. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze with all the inventory we try to keep on hand, but we make it work. Most days it’s just us and a couple of helpers grinding down edges or cutting pieces to size. The heat from the welding can get pretty intense, especially in the summer months, so we usually have a few big fans going to keep the air moving. We’ve been in this part of Sarkhej for a good long time now and the locals know us by the noise we make. We don’t have a big corporate setup or a shiny office; it’s just a workshop where things get built. People come to us when they need a gate fixed or some steel for a building project. We just do the work as it comes and try to stay organized in the middle of all the metal. It's a loud life, but it’s what we know.
