You can find us near the Shubhlaxmi Tenement in Chandkheda, right across from the Hanuman Mandir. It’s a quiet enough spot until the morning traffic starts. We’ve been working on various infrastructure tasks around here for some time now. Our day usually starts early because site work depends on the light. We aren’t into fancy titles or polished presentations. We mostly talk in plain terms about what needs to be built or fixed. There is always some dust and noise when you are in this line of work, but we are used to it by now. The office at 221/1 is where we keep all the maps and plans. It’s often a bit messy with blueprints and coffee cups, but we know where everything is. Chandkheda is an area that has its own rhythm. We work with local laborers and suppliers because it's easier and makes sense for the community. Sometimes we have to deal with delays because of the weather or material shortages, which is just part of the job. We don’t make big promises we can't keep. We just show up and do the work that’s assigned to us. Most people in the neighborhood know where we are if they need to discuss a project. It’s a straightforward way of doing business, without the corporate layers. We just like to get things done and move on to the next project. There is always something new to fix or build around here, and we like keeping busy with it.
