Gulbrandsen Chemicals Pvt Ltd is based at 48/ 309, Anand Flats, in the Ellora Park area of Baroda. It is a bit unusual to have an office in a residential flat, but it works for us. It feels a bit more like home and less like a cold corporate building. We spend most of our time here managing the chemical side of things, dealing with suppliers, and making sure our records are up to date. Ellora Park is a lively neighborhood, so there is always something going on outside our windows. The space inside the flat is a bit tight, especially when we get a new batch of documents to file away. We have our desks crammed in there, and the tea kettle is almost always running. We are not into big mission statements or fancy business talk. We just want to get the work done without any extra fuss. Some of us have been working together for years, so we have a good rhythm going. It is not always perfectly tidy, and sometimes we have to move a stack of papers just to find a stapler. We just take things as they come and try to keep our customers happy by being reliable. Being in Baroda has its challenges with the heat and the traffic, but we are used to it by now. It is a straightforward operation here at Anand Flats, and we like the independence it gives us to work our own way.
