Out here in Nanakarala, things move at a much slower pace than they do in the big cities like Baroda. Our place is tucked away in Patel Falia, right in the middle of the village area in the Sinor taluka. It is part of the Baroda district, and we have been operating from this specific spot for many years now. It is a quiet area for the most part, though things do pick up a bit when the staff are coming and going for their shifts. We handle the local side of the business for Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals from here. Being in a small place like this means we know most of the people who live and work around us. The office building itself is not anything special to look at, just a practical and solid place where we get our work done every day. We deal with the usual matters involved in the chemical trade, but on a more local and direct level. Sometimes the mail takes an extra day or two to reach us out here in the village, but we manage to get by just fine without too much trouble. It is actually quite nice being away from the heavy noise and the smoke of the main highways. Most of the people who work here live nearby, so the commute is usually just a short walk. We keep the doors open and just get on with whatever needs doing that day.
