Zodiac Engineers

Our workshop is located over at 5A/45 in the N.I.T area, and it's where we spend most of our waking hours. We do a lot of general engineering work, mostly involving metal and machines that need fixing or parts that need making. It's not the cleanest place because there's always oil on the floor and metal shavings in the corners, but that's what a real shop looks like. We have a few machines that have been with us for years, and they still run better than some of the newer stuff. Most of our days are spent listening to the hum of the lathes and the occasional sound of a welder. We don't really have a big office or anything like that. If you need us, you just walk into the bay and shout over the noise. People around N.I.T know where we are if they need something fabricated or if a part breaks on their equipment. It’s steady work, and we like the feeling of actually making something with our hands. Sometimes a job takes longer than we thought, especially when the old machines get stubborn or a piece of steel doesn't want to cooperate. We don't put on any airs about what we do. We’re just engineers who know how to handle tools and solve mechanical problems when they come up. The coffee is usually cold and the air smells like grease, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We just keep working through the orders and keeping things running.
